Dunstable Artisans.
The Merrimack Valley Artisans
is a growing and supportive group of local artists and crafts people. All
of the members have demonstrated a serious commitment to their particular
art and to the promotion of art in our area. Our monthly meetings take place in Dunstable, MA and our
annual October show is located in
Chelmsford, MA.
Our mission includes peer support and advancement of each of our careers in
the artistic and business sense. Our meetings include; discussion topics, presentations
and/or speakers. We support local student artists with
scholarships to assist in their
continued art education. Members also hold presentations in local schools and in the community to educate the public about the arts.
We invite new member applications and accept new members after completion
of a jury review. We are looking for artists and craftspeople
producing high quality, original work with attention to detail and
workmanship - work that is expressive of the artist's point of view and
personal style. The work should be completely created by the artist from
raw materials. We do not accept resale items or work made from kits, commercial molds,
or consumable goods.
